Archived versions of Semester One's Innovation and
Concept research website are linked below. I have
included a short explanation of my reason for the
design of the site and a brief self-crit. This section
of the website is for marking purposes and hopefully
charts a positive progress.
Version
1 - The Green Icky
"The Green Icky" was my first Innovation
and Concept research website. To be honest,
it was a one-hour job and I think it shows.
I did create a design flaw when I conceived
this idea. By having the content centred in
the middle of the page, it meant that I could
not add images to the site with appropriate
dimensions.
Version
2 - Being Arty - Unreleased
The "Being Arty" website was my attempt
at having a crack at something a little different;
a website that did not conform to standard web
design layout practices.
The idea was to display the website content
on top of a notebook background, which in turn
would sit on top of a cork background, giving
the website a notice board effect.
Version
2.1 - The Final Design
This site was my final design and for the Innovation
& Concept hand-in, rather than create a
new design from scratch, I decided to make improvements
on this site. Although I was happy with Version
2.1, I felt that I could add more. The inclusion
of a slideshow with fading allowe me to showcase
some personal photography. At some stage I hope
to create a gallery.
