This week I have decided to put together a couple of sketches to graphically demonstrate what the main page of my project will look like and some of the innovative features that will be used, i.e. the interactive map.

The main site will be created using an array of images of Belfast landmarks and buildings.

The background will have the capability of moving in an easterly or westerly direction according to the position of the mouse pointer. The main reason for doing this is to give the website some funky style; with a creative and innovative edge; plus it would be nice to give my users something to keep them interested.

Click on the image opposite to view a basic prototype of the proposed main site which will be constructed using Macromedia Flash.

The flash movie only represents the functionality of the VR and not the actual background image that will be used.

Updated Timeline
One of the most critical undertakings of any major project is time management. As always, It is crucial that I keep to a time frame as much as possible. During Semester 1, as part of the module assignment submission, a project proposal was drafted. After a group tutorial session with Michelle I realised that the timeline could have been broken down into more detail - as it stands it is to vague. To this end, I have created an extended timeline that hopefully covers all tasks that must be carried out. The time frame is still the same.
